Case Study - Bristol Marina

Project Summary

A prestigious project at Cannons Quay, Bristol Marina, completed in partnership with Yorkshire based company, DesignADeck, using decking from Silva Timber Products.

The Requirements

DesignADeck were looking for a decking material which would provide durability, decay resistance and the ability to withstand the elements due to the developments close proximity to the water. Safety was also a major priority, as the decking would form a walkway so good grip was essential.

Materials Used

Over 10,000 metres of 'Cedardeck' decking, the highest grade of Architectural Knotty Western Red Cedar decking available, was supplied for the job. The natural oils in Cedar increase its resistance to decay making it the ideal choice for the Bristol Marina project.
