Western Red Cedar Bevel

Western Red Cedar Bevel (also known as Feather Edge) is one of the most popular types of exterior timber cladding.  Its popularity lies in the fact that it is economical compared to other cladding types and it produces very attractive results.  

Western Red Cedar Bevel cladding is produced by sawing boards at an angle to produce two pieces thicker on one edge than on the other.  Bevel cladding is installed horizontally and gives an attractive shadow line effect.  It can be seen on both traditional and contemporary buildings, particularly in North America and Scandinavia.
