Our smooth all round Ipé - Tabebuia serratifolia (pronounced "Ee-Pay") decking is 1st Grade which means that it is the best available. It is air dried for additional stability and finished on 4 sides with eased edges. Ipé is a South American hardwood that is one of the hardest woods on earth (3 times harder than oak!). Due to its hardness and natural ability to resist decay, Ipé will provide many years of service.

We are confident that we are offering the best quality Ipé decking in the UK at the most competitive price. If you find the same specification available elsewhere for less, please let us know. We aim to beat any genuine quote.

If you would like to see our product before you buy why not pay us a visit. We can show you our current stock of Ipé and the other products we offer. We usually carry a large volume of Ipé but please call first on 0151 495 3111 to check we have what you are interested in. If you live further afield we can email photos of our current stock to help you place your order with confidence.

Characteristics

Ipé wood has a natural, rich, dark brown colour with occasional yellow tints and yellowish-brown sap. Left unstained it will gradually age to a lighter brown with grey overtones. However, Ipé can be stained to retain its rich, dark brown colour or it can be stained to give it a glossier finish.

Due to Ipé's immense strength and density, in most circumstances it is unnecessary for boards to exceed 21mm thickness for any load bearing puropses. It is ideal for commercial projects where heavy wear is expected or projects near water.

Coverage
