For use on kitchen worktops and wooden furniture where fluid stains often occur
The Osmo TopOil surface is resistant against a wide range of common household stains, such as beer, wine, coffee, tea, cola, coffee, tea, fruit juices, milk and water etc. when dry according to DIN 68861 - 1C (German Industrial Norm).
Renovating Osmo TopOil, even partially, is very easy. Sanding and removal of previous TopOil finish is not required and it will leave no repair marks. Simply clean and re-treat worn areas. Dirt can easily be removed without trace.
Osmo TopOil is based on natural vegetable oils and waxes. It will not crack, flake, peel or blister and it is micro-porous, therefore it is an ideal wood finish in rooms with high humidity such as kitchens and bathrooms.
Osmo TopOil is very easy to apply; no primer is needed and only 2 thin coats are required. It is creamy in consistency (thixotropic). It will accentuate the grain of the wood and the matt sheen can be intensified by slight polishing.
Product based on natural oil and wax
Osmo TopOil is a natural vegetable oil and wax based product. The natural oils and waxes penetrate deeply into the wood to prevent it from drying out and becoming brittle. This keeps the wood healthy and elastic and reduces shrinking and swelling. The wood is allowed to breathe and moisture can evaporate.
Health and environment
Osmo TopOil contains no biocides or preservatives. It is safe for man, animal and plant when dry and complies with German DIN 53160 (fast to perspiration and saliva) and EURO-NORM EN 71 (suitable for children’s toys). Test certificates are available upon request.
Osmo only manufacture and supply products which are safe and environmentally friendly during production as well as for application resulted in the successful certification according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2000 (quality management) and DIN EN ISO 14001 (environmental management) by the TÜV (Technical Control Board) Rhineland
Ideal use as a finish for wooden kitchen work tops and general interior joinery such as furniture and table tops where household stains may occur.
For dark hardwood floors like Jatoba, Meranti, Wengé, Merbau, etc. use Osmo Wood Wax Finish Clear Extra Thin. It is recommended to test on a small area first.
