Factory Coated Eastern White Cedar Shingles - recommended for cladding use only
Hugely popular in North America, Silva' s Factory Coated Eastern White Cedar shingles allow for a totally unique look to be created with a versatile range of coatings.
One of the advantages of Eastern White Cedar is that it contains no tannins, which can cause discolouration over time. Using the TrueMatch Factory Coated Colouring System, we can supply custom produced Eastern White Cedar shingles in exactly the colour you have in mind, with Misty Grey in stock for immediate delivery.
Every shingle is factory coated on all sides in a controlled environment for maximum stain absorption and retention. This also provides increased UV and weather protection.
Following the stain application, the shingles are sent through a state of the art drier, which cures the stain from the inside out. The shingles are then cooled and packaged. The entire process provides increased durability of the product once installed.
Misty Grey - provides the 'New England' driftwood grey look without waiting years. Eastern White Cedar shingles are known for a weathered beauty that can take years to achieve. The unique Misty Grey finish provides an even weathered grey wood look from the outset which slowly mellows down to a beautiful driftwood grey in the first two years after installation.
Please note that due to the desired end-result of this product, a warranty is not available on the Misty Grey finish, however the 50 year warranty against wood decay is still applicable.
