The quality of this decking can only be described as exceptional. It is produced from kiln dried vertical grain 'A & Better Clear' grade Western Red Cedar to a very high standard. This stock is a bit of a one off; it was produced for use as high end trim boards but the thickness and width are the same as one of our decking profiles so we thought we'd get some in for those customers that are looking for something really special.
We are not exaggerating when we say that this is almost too good to walk on. Finish it with penetrating oil that will enhance the natural colours and grain, then stand back and admire the sheer beauty of this clear, fine grained Western Red Cedar.
Please note that full packs are sold unchecked, i.e. we don't check every board before it goes out. Packs may have a small percentage of boards with minor natural defects or the odd mark caused during the manufacture and handing process. This is standard throughout the industry and generally these boards can easily be reworked on site to eliminate any such defects. This is factored into the price of full packs. It is likely that these particular packs are virtually defect free* but we thought we'd mention it anyway.
*The one opened for the photos contains perfect edges and ends. They are wrapped and have a layer of heavy duty carboard to minimise handling marks. This stock is in Widnes and we welcome you to come down and inspect before you buy.
Cedardeck clear is the highest grade of Western Red Cedar decking available. It has a virtually knot free appearance with only occasional small knots visible. Cedardeck clear is manufactured by Western Red Cedar Lumber Association (WRCLA) member mills to the highest industry standards.

Western Red Cedar is the ultimate green building material. It is legally, responsibly and sustainably harvested in the publicliy managed forests of British Columbia, Canada. Less than 1% of standing timber is harvested each year.
For each tree harvested, three are replanted to ensure the forests will exist in perpetuity. Western Red Cedar has a low impact on the environment throughout its life cycle. It requires significantly less energy to produce than man-made alternatives and is bio-degradable.
