The versatility of our board-on-board (board and batten) style cladding means you can create a wide range of vertical designs with different shadow line effects, as well as fascias, barge boards, door and window trims, corner trims, fences, horizontal slatted screens and more.

The warm Cascadia Western Red Cedar is ideal for a contemporary finish, and whether you go for an inner layer of boards spaced apart with an outer layer of boards, or use battens for a double-layer style for your cladding, you’ll create bold shadow lines that make any building look taller.


We Source the Finest Raw Materials

We import our Cascadia Western Red Cedar boards from the renowned sawmill Terminal Forest Products in British Columbia, Canada. It’s made from only the highest quality wood fibre, so you will always get the best tight knot grade cedar, sustainably sourced from well managed forests with full PEFC chain of custody certification.


Kiln Dried for Stability

In being kiln dried to a moisture content of 12-15% (+/-2%), Cascadia boards are dried uniformly, making them more dimensionally stable and allowing you to coat them immediately. Boards can also be installed with minimal site acclimatisation. Find out more about the benefits of kiln dried timber.

Grading

Grades

This grade accounts for approximately 90% of Western Red Cedar production and can be seen in use across North America on every type of building from lakeside cabins to upmarket ski lodges, architect designed contemporary city homes and commercial buildings.


Select Tight Knot

This grade provides an economical solution for those who want to see more character in their wood. Live knots (infused with surrounding wood fibre) which are limited in size and number are allowed within the grading rules.

This product is PEFC certified.

PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) is an independent, non-profit, non-governmental organisation founded in 1999 which promotes sustainably managed forests through independent third party certification. The PEFC provides an assurance mechanism to purchasers of wood and paper products that they are promoting the sustainable management of forests.

PEFC works throughout the entire forest supply chain to promote good practice in the forest and to ensure that timber and non-timber forest products are produced with respect for the highest ecological, social and ethical standards. Thanks to its  eco-label, customers and consumers are able to identify products from sustainably managed forests.
