For creating amazing outdoor spaces, no other decking material comes close to matching the versatility, performance, and stunning natural appearance of Western Red Cedar.
For starters, Western Red Cedar is a beautiful natural material, imbued with rich, warm wood tones. Decks built out of cedar are guaranteed to be eye-catching and will exude a feeling of warmth and luxury that you don't find with other materials.
Amongst Western Red Cedar's impressive list of performance characteristics is its natural resistance to decay. It's also dimensionally stable, which is an essential property for wood decking as it means boards will lie flat and straight in service.
We recommend adding an additional 10-15% over and above your initial requirements.

Western Red Cedar decking is perfect around pools and hot tubs. It's a pleasant surface to sit and walk barefoot upon, and it does not react adversely to repeated wetting and drying. Unlike composite decking, it doesn't become disturbingly hot and it remains usable in hot weather. Being a fibrous wood, Western Red Cedar is forgiving and doesn't have nasty splinters, so it makes a safe play surface for children.
