Enhanced UV Protection for existing finishes or as a standalone finish
Based on a solution of natural oils, Osmo UV Protection Oil can be used as a final one-coat finsh on top of existing penetrating oils to prolong the restoration period, or as a standalone two-coat finish, prolonging the greying process by UV protection factor 12 when compared to unfinished timber. Osmo UV Protection Oil finishes to a satin-matt, clear finish.
As a microporous finish, Osmo UV Protection Oil allows the timber to breathe, eliminating the chance of the finish cracking, peeling, blisters or flaking. The natural oils of Osmo UV Protection Oil penetrate deep into the wood, keeping it flexible and preventing the wood from drying.

When using Osmo UV Protection Oil, the timber must be left to weather before application. The time left to weather will vary depending on the species of timber the oil is being applied to.
Please see the guide below for how long each species would have to be left to weather before applying the oil.
