Owatrol Deks Olje D1 Wood Saturating Oil

As Owatrol Deks Olje D.1 can be used both above and below the waterline, the finish is often specified for application in marine environments, such as on boat decks, marinas and pools.

Properties

• Optimised for thick, dense, greasy and difficult to impregnate woods.
• Drives out moisture and air by penetrating deep into pores; non-film building.
• Protects against humidity and its effects.
• Transparent – keeps the woods natural appearance.
• A matt and natural finish.

Application instructions

• Apply a first coat of Owatrol Deks Olje D.1, allowing the finish to penetrate timber for around 15 to 30 minutes.
• Apply a second coat, again allow the finish to penetrate for around 15 to 30 minutes.
• Repeat the re-coating process until the timber is fully saturated and will not accept any more finish.
• Wipe off or brush away any excess oil that will not penetrate to avoid any glossy/irregular spots.
• Ensure D.1 does not become touch dry in-between coats. Recoats should be on a wet-on-wet basis.
• Always refer to the packaging for full application procedures.
