Sansin Dec is a formulation of a high quantity of solids and stronger pigmentation so it looks better and lasts longer. Since even the toughest decks need to be maintained regularly, Sansin Dec makes it easy to keep your deck looking beautiful with just a simple clean and maintenance coat.
Sansin Dec is a penetrating environmentally-friendly 2-coat formula designed for wood decks.
Ideal for cedar, pine, spruce, fir, pressure treated timber and exotic hardwoods, Sansin Dec is UV resistant, water-repellant, and non-flammable with easy soap and water clean-up.
Between the BBQ, the patio furniture and the family get-together, decks have to handle more traffic than any other wood around your house. That's why Sansin Dec is designed as a rugged two-coat formula that penetrates deeply, protecting your deck from within. Where film-build coatings can easily peel and scratch, exposing wood to the elements, Sansin Dec provides lasting protection from rain and UV exposure.
During summer you want to be able to relax and enjoy the outdoors. For your peace of mind, Sansin Dec protects without using harsh or flammable solvents. Like all Sansin Enviro Stains, it is environmentally friendly; and by allowing wood to 'breathe' naturally, helps maintain a healthy moisture equilibrium that inhibits decay.
The modified natural oils in Sansin Dec penetrate deep into the wood under the kind of variable moisture content (up to 25%) frequently found in decks.
Although high in solids, Sansin Dec remains breathable and easy to maintain. Sansin Dec provides excellent UV and weather protection and will not crack, peel or blister. It’s the natural solution for maintaining the beauty and integrity of your wood.
Easy to prepare
Just follow a few basic steps and Sansin will bond molecularly with your wood for years of durable protection. Prepare the surface by checking for defects and deterioration; remove existing coatings with Sansin Paint & Stain remover. For bare wood, use a minimum 3000psi pressure washer with just clean water. Sand surface if necessary.
Easy to apply
When you choose Sansin, you are giving your wood the attention and protection it deserves. Pick the Sansin formula that suits your wood surface and apply by dipping, spraying or brushing. Follow instructions on tin for best results.
Easy to maintain
Exposure to weather will lighten your finish over time. To have your home looking like new again, pressure-wash your wood with clean water or use Sansin Multi-Wash. Then re-apply Sansin Enviro Stain as per product directions. These simple steps will help Sansin give your wood the maximum protection for years to come.
Several companies can claim to be 'green' and friendly to the environment, but Sansin truly lives and breathes their environmental practices, as important now as when Sansin first pioneered the water-based alkyd solution over 25 years ago.
Natural by design
Sansin's technology is inspired by a thousand-year-old tradition that uses nature's own ingredients - resins and gums from the heartwood of trees - to deliver sustainable protection.
Low VOC Content
New legislation about Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) content in coatings has forced a wide range of companies to change their formulas to fit within the 152 gram per litre regulations. Caring about the environment from the outset means Sansin's original formulas are as low as 32 grams per litre, meaning it is as safe to use as it always has been.
No harmful ingredients
Paraffin wax is often used in many water and solvent-based coatings to protect against moisture damage, however, this surface layer can be easily eroded by exposure to UV radiation. In fact, just 5 hours of direct sunlight can reduce water repellency by over 60%* Sansin coatings use no paraffin and contain modified natural oils and resins, impregnated with special UV protectants - so every cell of your wood is protected.

Focus on responsibility
Sansin strives to minimise waste and ensure responsible handling of waste products. A unique rinse water recycling system allows products of cleaning processes to capture and reuse raw materials otherwise waster. Regular facility improvements and operating initiatives such as the Sansin Second Nature programme focus on energy savings, waste reduction and recycling.
Second nature
Wood is Sansin's passion and their commitment to protecting it and the environment is paramount. Sansin's vision is to continually improve its products alongside their environmental practices, as part of Sansin's Second Nature programme. Sansin is pursuing initiatives such as using alternative green energy, smart car technology, and smart manufacturing processes, moving closer to the objective of operating a sustainable zero waste production facility.
