Naturally durable Siberian Larch cladding
SILVALarch™ Tongue & Groove V-Joint Profile
Sure to stand the test of time while looking great on any contemporary façade, SILVALarch™ V-Joint cladding profile is durable, stable and dense, while being incredibly easy to install without visible nails thanks to the tongue and groove joint.
The bevel, where two boards meet, creates a neat v-shaped shadow line effect along the joint, making it the perfect timber cladding choice for a contemporary look, whether installing horizontally or vertically on residential or commercial buildings.
Quality Raw Materials from Certified Forests
The long, cold winters and short summers of the Irkutsk region of Russia produces slow growing Siberian Larch with dense, tight grain and few tight knots. With a plentiful supply of old growth logs from this vast forest area, our supplying sawmill can provide us with a quality that far exceeds the official 'GOST 26002-83' grading standards.
It is important to note that Siberian Larch (Larix sibirica) is not to be confused with European Larch (Larix decidua, Larix europaea), which grows mainly in continental Europe and also here in the UK. Although related, Siberian Larch has different physical properties and is widely regarded to be a superior material. Notably it has a different appearance, it is more dimensionally stable, denser and more durable (due to its growing conditions) than its European cousin.
Kiln Dried to Optimise Dimensional Stability
SILVALarch™ boards are kiln dried to a moisture content of 16-18% (+/-2%), perfect for the immediate application of coatings and suitable for installing with minimal site acclimatisation. Read more about the importance of kiln drying.
