The last 2 years have certainly been a challenging time for most. The impact of COVID-19 on businesses and individuals alike has been felt on a global scale.
At a time when the demand for building materials was at its peak, raw materials were in short supply and prices were rising at an unprecedented level. Add to that shipping delays and a shortage of UK HGV drivers and it’s easy to see why this period has been a turbulent time for all.
But all is not lost. The good news is that raw material stock is continuing to filter its way through, putting us in a very strong position for 2022. Containers are arriving at our warehouse in Widnes on daily basis, and both our moulders are working flat out to turn stock around in the fastest possible timeframe.
The move to our new warehouse facility in December 2019 was somewhat overshadowed by the turn of events in 2020 but we’re pleased to say that all that extra storage space is finally being put to good use. We are currently holding in stock over 780,000 linear metres of profiled Western Red Cedar, ThermoWood, Siberian Larch and Fraké Noir boards, with a further 519,000 linear metres of raw material stock also available.
Whilst the supply situation has been difficult in recent months, we want to assure you that our number one priority has always been, and continues to be, to provide the highest quality products at the most competitive prices. That’s why we work with a very tight supplier base, with people who we trust, who have the same ethos as we do. We have fostered some excellent relationships with our suppliers over the years; our links with some of them go back some 20 years and we aim to continue that for the next twenty!
So, it’s onwards and upwards as we move into 2022. Our sales team is on hand to provide expert advice, samples, and quotes, and with delivery lead times from as little as 2 working days there really is no better time to get that project underway!
