Taking a Leap for Maggie’s

After being involved with the initial design stages for the Maggie’s Manchester building back in 2015, we were very excited to see the finished product when the building opened in April 2016.

The building looks absolutely amazing and the garden that surrounds it adds a sense of tranquillity. When we were shown around by Jemma, who’s responsible for raising enough money to keep the centre open, and told the story of how Maggie’s was started we were completely overwhelmed.

As soon as you walk through the doors of Maggie’s Manchester, you feel relaxed as if you’ve just walked into your own home. The kitchen table is the heart of the centre and it’s definitely the hub for a friendly chat. After a few minutes with the cheerful staff, volunteers and other visitors you feel like you’re with old friends.

As soon as we left we knew we wanted to do our bit to support such a fantastic charity that is a lifeline for anyone affected by cancer, so we made Maggie’s Manchester our corporate charity.

To kick things off with a bang, four of our resident adrenaline junkies have signed up to jump out of a plane at 10,000ft travelling up to 120mph to raise much needed funds for Maggie’s Manchester.

Keri, Keith, Michael and Jess will be taking the plunge April 29th and we’ll keep you up to date with their progress. We’d really appreciate any donations you can make to support our daredevils!

We’re raising money through My Donate as we don’t have to pay any commission on your donations or set up fees so 100% of your donation will go to Maggie’s Manchester.

You can follow us on Facebook and Twitter to keep up to date with the team’s progress.
