These superb clear Western Red Cedar boards are perfect for decking but could also be used for many other outdoor projects. For example, a timber walkway, a jetty, pergola rafters, a picnic table or an outdoor seating area.

Raw Material and Production

These C & Better Clear Western Red Cedar deck boards are produced using high quality Western Red Cedar grown in the British Columbia coastal region.

Boards are produced for Silva by Terminal Forest Products, a Canadian primary sawmill and manufacturer with an unparalleled international reputation for superior Western Red Cedar products.

Terminal’s fastidious approach to quality control means that production quality of these boards is exceptional. The material far exceeds the NLGA grading standards for C & Better Clear.

This product is available exclusively in the UK through Silva. It is sustainably sourced from well managed forests and supplied with full PEFC chain of custody certification.


These Western Red Cedar deck boards are produced from virtually knot free British Columbia coastal grown Western Red Cedar to meet the NLGA grade ‘C & Better Clear’. The quality of this material exceeds the grading standard.

Kiln Dried

Boards are kiln dried to a moisture content of 16-18% (+/-2%), the optimal moisture content for external timber in the UK. Among its many benefits over air drying, the kiln drying process enables the boards to dry uniformly to achieve optimum dimensional stability. Surface Texture and Profile

Boards are planed smooth on all sides with a 4.8mm radius on the corners.
